Meet Dr. Pitts
Biography
Dr. Kristen DeYoung Pitts is originally from Chapin, South Carolina. She graduated from Wofford College with a degree in biology and went on to attend medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina. After graduating from medical school, she completed training in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center at Jackson, Mississippi, in the Department of Otolaryngology and Communicative Sciences. Dr. Pitts joined our team at Spartanburg & Greer ENT and Allergy in 2019.
Dr. Pitts enjoys the variety of care that an ENT practice affords, which allows her to see patients of all ages and solve new problems each day. She appreciates the challenge of operating on the head and neck and performing minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Pitts enjoys diagnosing and treating patients with sinus and allergy problems as well as those with sleep and hearing concerns. She has a special interest in head and neck cancer. Dr. Pitts is involved in research to improve medical and surgical treatments in otolaryngology.
Dr. Pitts is a member of the South Carolina Medical Society and Spartanburg Women in Medicine. Dr. Pitts and her family have enjoyed becoming a part of the Spartanburg community. She and her husband met at Wofford College and married in Charleston, South Carolina. Together they have a young child. Dr. Pitts enjoys the outdoors, gardening, water sports, cooking and roasting oysters.
